September 28, 2020
Next in our Meet the Team series, we speak with one of our most experienced Administrators, Sam Flaherty, to find out about what she enjoys doing both inside and outside of work.
What did you do prior to joining Plus Group?
I actually started at Plus on the Apprenticeship scheme, straight from Sixth Form, which was somewhat daunting, having not worked in an office environment before, but I’ve enjoyed every minute of it!
What do you like most about working at Plus Group?
I like how well we all get on at Plus, and that even after 5 years of working here, I am still learning new skills and increasing my knowledge. I also enjoy the fact that each day comes with a fresh set of challenges, and I can use my experience to help manage them and support others in the Team.
What do you enjoy about your role?
Working with different partners each day, who all work in their own unique way. The variety of the tasks we are given, and having to accommodate each Partner’s working methods, certainly keeps things interesting day to day!
Outside of work, what are your hobbies?
Ivy Asia in London, where the sushi was fantastic. My “hobby” is literally all things food – I love to cook, my speciality being a Roast dinner, as well as finding and trying out new restaurants. Recently I visited the
I do also love going on city breaks, my favourite being Berlin for its diverse culture, football and beautiful Christmas markets.
I equally enjoy going for long walks along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, which is close to where I live, and the local countryside.
What film or TV series that you have seen recently would you recommend and why?
I’m currently watching The Fall on Netflix, which is about a serial killer targetting women in Northern Ireland. It examines the various relationships, past and present, the killer has had throughout his disturbed life, which makes for lots of psychological twists and turns! But then I’m also watching the reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – there is no in-between!
